AbstractThe Linux kernel is the largest open source project in the history of computing. The size of the community, and the speed at which it is developed, has enabled a platform that is used by all businesses, and almost all people, everyday. This talk will describe who is doing this development, how fast it is being developed, and what the process is that has created this very flexible operating system that we all use every day.Biography - Greg KHKroah-Hartman is among a distinguished group of software developers that maintain Linux at the kernel level. In his role as Linux Foundation Fellow, KroahHartman will continue his work as the maintainer for the Linux stable kernel branch and a variety of subsystems while working in a fully neutral environment. He will also work more closely with Linux Foundation members, workgroups, Labs projects (http://www.linuxfoundation.org/labs), and staff on key initiatives to advance Linux.
