This program is jointly provided by the Center for Nursing Research, the Alpha Nu Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, Intl., and Continuing Education in Nursing and Healthcare. Bridgette M. Brawner, PhD, APRN, will deliver the keynote address. She is the University of Pennsylvania's first Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Nursing's Center for Health Equity Research. Dr. Brawner is receiving 2 years of postdoctoral training and mentorship to advance her science and scholarship, after which she will be evaluated to join the faculty in a full-time tenure track position. She has been involved in several local and international research projects focused on improving health and reducing risk behaviors among ethnic minority adolescents. Dr. Brawner has a particular passion for adolescents with mental health and substance abuse histories.
